Menstrual cycles are unique to each woman, so they will differ slightly. Here’s the basis of a healthy menstrual cycle:

  1. Menstrual cycles that are regular: Regular menstrual cycles usually last between 21-35 days and have predictable bleeding patterns and cycle lengths. Menstruation is a sign that hormonal processes are working normally.
  2. Normal flow and duration: An average period lasts approximately 3 to 5 days with a moderate flow.
